Functional MRI (fMRI)

Definition

Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) is a non-invasive imaging technique that measures and maps brain activity by detecting changes in blood flow and oxygen levels, known as the blood-oxygen-level-dependent (BOLD) response. It provides insights into neural activity in specific brain regions during tasks or at rest.
