Clinical End Point

Definition

A Clinical End Point is a measurable outcome used in clinical trials to assess the efficacy and safety of a medical device, treatment, or intervention. End points can include patient survival, reduction in symptoms, improvement in quality of life, or laboratory-based results, depending on the objectives of the study.

Relevance to the MedTech Industry

Clinical End Points provide objective criteria for evaluating the success of a medical device or treatment in addressing a specific condition. They are critical for regulatory approval, reimbursement decisions, and demonstrating the value of innovations to healthcare providers and patients.
